Amruthotharam kashayam is extensively used in the treatment of fever by Ayurvedic doctors.
Nagara – Ginger (Zingiber officinale)-2 parts
Amruta – Neem Giloy ( Tinospora cordifolia) 6 parts
Haritaki – Harad (Terminalia chebula) 4 parts
It is added with 8 parts of water, boiled and reduced to quarter part.
Method of manufacturing:
All the ingredients in 3 gm coarse powder form is added with 8 or 16 parts of water, boiled and reduced to 1/4 or 1/8th part, filtered and consumed.
Adult dose – 15 ml + 60 ml warm water twice daily one hour before food.
Pediatric dose:5-10 ml + 60 ml warm water twice daily one hour before food.
Geriatric dose: 5-10 ml + 60 ml warm water twice daily one hour before food.
